c o l o u r l e s s | A Short Film

by Adam Smith

For World Mental Health Day this year, I decided it was time to release an experimental short film I worked on some two years ago alongside my good friend, Mike Hearnden. A collision of poetry, performance and visual storytelling, c o l o u r l e s s is an exposé into the decline of mental wellbeing and identity – and how our greatest obstacle is often far closer to home than we realise.

Those of you who’ve followed my work through my time as a musician and writer will know how close to my heart mental health awareness is, and this 15-minute experimental poetry film aims to capture some of the struggles I’ve personally experienced, as well as some that I’m sure will resonate with many creatives out there.

I hope this film, in some small way, adds to the removal of the stigmas surrounding speaking up about mental health.

Please don’t suffer in silence.
